A young tree was planted by our forefathers
in the wild desert.
Full of grandeur and beauty, the tree
blossomed day and night.

Birds used to fly there,
singing wonderful melodies,
and we were among them.
On the trees, upon the branches,
dates and figs used to grow,
And we delighted in them.

Yes, that little tree, it really existed,
Everyone well knows
that the gardener was God himself -
This parable fits the Jews quite well.
That the gardener was God himself –
This fits the Jews quite well.

The golden times did not last long,
Our tree did not blossom long.
Black clouds, from all sides,
Soon blew over us.

And the trees with the branches,
and the birds in the cages,
everything was destroyed.
And the birds flew away,
retreating into the clouds,
And the Jew was erased.

Yes, that little tree, it really existed,
Everyone well knows
that the gardener was God himself -
This parable fits the Jews quite well.
